Refund & Cancellation Policy

Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel at any time. There is no notice period, no cancellation fee, and no explanation required.
To cancel, email akshit@thoughtsinknots.com from the address associated with your account. Cancellation will be processed within 2 business days and confirmed by email.
What happens when you cancel
Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. If you cancel a monthly subscription on day 5, you keep access for the remaining 25 days. If you cancel an annual subscription in month 3, you keep access for the remaining 9 months.
After that date, no further payments will be taken and access to paid archive issues will end. Free issues remain readable.
Refunds
Payments already made are not refunded on cancellation, because access continues for the full period paid for.
Refunds are issued in the following circumstances:
- Duplicate or accidental charge — refunded in full. Contact within 30 days.
- Technical failure — if a payment succeeds but access is not granted and cannot be resolved, the payment is refunded in full.
- Extended non-publication — if the newsletter is suspended for an extended period, active subscribers will be offered a pro-rata refund for the unused portion.
- Account terminated by the author without any breach on your part — pro-rata refund for the unused portion.
How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Razorpay. Processing typically takes 5 to 7 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
